food is excellent. Home cooking and lots of it. Hot and fresh. Country atmosphere. Waitress was very attentive. First time here love it.

She was rude, and after what? You weren't set up for us and clearly couldn't handle our party. In that 40 minutes we drove elsewhere, were seated, orders taken, small snacks and drinks on the table at a chain restaurant.
The food is prepared home style and is delicious. I give four stars because they used to have amazing cream-chipped beef but have since discontinued that dish, my favorite here. Unfortunately, our waitress this morning said it wasn’t a big enough seller, but that the people that ordered it loved it. Well . . . I’m one of those people. Oh well, the food is still great. I love the Big J omelet now. It’s a feast! The decor is classic country style and reminds me of diners you see in Lancaster, PA or in Ohio Amish country. The staff is polite and friendly and conversational. If you like home style diner cooking and large portions, Janoski’s is a must stop in the western Allegheny County area.
Rude. Stopped in 2.5 hours earlier to set up reservation for a large party for late lunch. When we arrived on time, they were not set up. It's was busy and they informed us that it would be at least 40 minutes for food. So when we thanked them but would leave bc we had small children, the hostess looked at us and said "so you dont want it after all that?!"
